Coach's Comments:

The Sycamore High School boy’s bowling team had their first meet and first victories for the 2007-2008 season tonight, Wednesday, November 14th at home against St. Bede. The Sycamore boy’s Varsity bowled a series total of 3351, while St. Bede’s had a total of 2851. Sycamore was led by junior Kris Williams who had the high series of the night with a 637 with the high game of 277. Kris was followed by junior Jake Webb’s 593, sophomore Kyle Edwards’s 588 and senior Kevin Edward’s 577, who had the second highest game of 259. St. Bede’s Shawn Ballard bowled the second highest series of the night with a 631, with his highest game being 245.

Sycamore’s boy’s Junior Varsity scored a series total of 3124 while St. Bede’s had a total of 1797. The boy’s Junior Varsity was led by freshman Austin Ricker’s series of 603. Austin was followed by freshman Mike Reines’ 590, sophomore Shane Toms’ 589 and freshman Cody Ballenger’s 534.

Sycamore’s next showing will be Saturday, November 17th, where the Varsity will participate in the Guilford Survivor Tournament at Don Carter Lanes in Rockford. Their next Varsity/Junior Varsity meet will be at Elgin St. Edwards on Tuesday, November 20th.
