Coach's comments:
The Sycamore High School Varsity boys bowling team participated in
their first tournament of the season on Saturday, November 22nd at Don
Carter Lanes in Rockford. 26 teams participated in the tournament. After
four games Sycamore was in 10th place with a 4002 series total. Sycamore
made the cut of the top 12 teams and placed 12th after the fifth game,
missing the cut of the top six teams. Sophomore Austin Ricker was the
highlight of the day, bowling the team high series for four games, of 855
and also tied for the 10th High game of 257. Senior Kris Williams and
Junior Shane Toms averaged 207 for the day with an 827 and 826
respectively. Junior Kyle Edwards bowled a 755 series for 4 games,
averaging 194. And Senior Jake Webb ended with a 719 series and bowled a
180 average.
The Spartans will be in action again Saturday, November 29th at Forest
Hills Lanes, Machesney Park.
